About Me

Life is about transition.

You see it in the sands, the waves, the rock; in the way events play out in our days. As an instructional designer, the power for change is a key part of why I do what I do. We all have the capability to start from one place and end somewhere entirely new; helping others get from one space to the next is an inspiring challenge that I relish.

I first fell in love with learning design as a longtime educator; using real-life scenarios and gamification, I increased learner performance as I collaborated with a variety of stakeholders and colleagues. I assessed, designed, developed, implemented and evaluated, before ever having heard of the ADDIE or SAM models.

I now have the added expertise from dedicated study in e-Learning development and technical writing to clarify technical content for greater accessibility, scaffold learning through use of tools such as Articulate Storyline, and ultimately enhance learners' performance in their target skills.

In my free time, I write poetry, make abstract embroidery, listen to esoteric music, and spend time in nature, taking photos daily.
